The Shade Tree Commission meets in the Meeting Room, 215 Millstone Road, Millstone Township, NJ on the second Wednesday of each month
at 7:00 pm.
The Millstone Township Shade Tree Commission is charged with " the regulation,
planting, care and control of shade and ornamental trees and shrubbery upon and
in the streets, highways, public places, parks and parkways of this
municipality..."
One of the Commissions primary jobs is to review the landscape plans for
major subdivisions and commercial sites and make recommendations to the planning
Board regarding the suitability of the proposed plantings. Once the plan
is approved and the plantings are installed, the developer must guarantee
survival for one year. After that , trees are the responsibility of the
homeowner.
